The 8 times table trick
Double it three times.
- Double: 8 × 6 starts with 12.
- Double again: 24.
- Double a third time: 48.
Examples
- 8 × 6: 6 → 12 → 24 → 48
- 8 × 7: 7 → 14 → 28 → 56
Why it works
8 is 2 × 2 × 2, so multiplying by 8 is doubling three times.
