The 12 times table trick
Multiply by 10, then add 2 more groups of the number.
- Multiply by 10: 12 × 7 starts with 70.
- Add 2 more 7s: 70 + 14 = 84.
Examples
- 12 × 7: 70 + 14 = 84
- 12 × 12: 120 + 24 = 144
