The 6 times table trick

Multiply by 5, then add one more of the number.

1. 6 × 7
2. 5 × 7 = 35
3. 35 + 7 = 42

1. Multiply by 5: 6 × 7 starts with 35.
2. Add one more 7: 35 + 7 = 42.

• 6 × 7: 35 + 7 = 42
• 6 × 8: 40 + 8 = 48
